ON THE EDGE

ON THE EDGE

ON THE EDGE —–

JIM PECHA, B.ARCH., CHRISTIAN ARTIST,

MINISTER OF CREATIVITY, copyright 2013 ——

The Church is supposed to be on the edge of the physical and spiritual, bringing together the two aspects of life. If the Church is sitting too far inland on the physical side of life it will become too comfortable and focus on the attributes of the physical benefits of life, if too spiritual, people will be unable to relate to it as reality. (It is a delicate balance, to be in the world, but not of the world.) Today’s Churches are much to far inland, which gives the membership too much confidence that the physical has more reality. The Church is to represent the eternal spiritual life with God through Christ and the Holy Spirit, but cannot convince anyone of that if it is showing off to many physical pleasures and benefits. The Church in the picture is so beautiful spiritually representing the the two aspects of life. You can get the feeling of the Church being the joining force between the physical and spiritual. I guess that’s why I feel the power of “the complete concept of creativity,” because it brings together, “creator – process – creation.” From the spiritual creator within all of us, because we are made in the image of God, to the process that brings the spiritual into physical existence. I pray everyone will feel the connection today of both aspects within their existence, the spiritual and physical, through our minds and emotions. This Church in the picture helps remind everyone that all of our physical lives are on the edge and that we need to think about our eternal spiritual existence also.
