IN THE LIGHT

IN THE LIGHT ———-

JIM PECHA, B.ARCH. CHRISTIAN ARTIST,
MINISTER OF CREATIVITY, COPYRIGHT 2014 —————

Everyday the artist is involved “visually” with the struggles of life. Melanie represented the turmoil she felt through colors and shapes. She bowed her head in the white light of the spiritual while attempting to deal with the forces shown with the intellect blue. The reds of passions were always after her; so she stripped all her clothes off and painted naked in front of her canvas. Earthly greens persuaded her to be natural; so she loved who ever loved her, male or female. The light seemed fractured reflecting her inability to successfully satisfy all the aspects of life, she was only human, although she was told she was a child of God, which made her also a young god. She felt God within her naked sensuous body, yearning for touches and sensations of the physical. She had to give herself pleasure when no one else was with her. Pushing her fingers deep inside herself while caressing her sensitive nipples of nurturance gave her a momentary sense of physical union with existence as she painted colors and forms, but it was never completely satisfying. There must be something more to living and breathing. She desired to be penetrated deeply by the white light surrounding her. Would that give her lasting eternal sensation? She needed to creatively express her passionate inner feelings and thoughts, but everything she did seemed inadequate. How could she connect with the light, express the light? How could she be the beautiful light?
