THREE FIGURES

THREE FIGURES ———-

JIM PECHA, B.ARCH., CHRISTIAN ARTIST,
MINISTER OF CREATIVITY, COPYRIGHT 2014 ———-

When Alandrax was painting her impression of the Church down the road, she included three figures in the shadows. When I asked her about them she was hesitant about answering, but finally said that she only had feelings about their presence. She didn’t attend Church because of those ominous figures. They seemed to want to take something from her, to control her and to harm her. It was interesting that they were outside the Church, not inside. I wondered how many other people stayed away from Church without knowing why. Were the figures representing evil forces or something else? As a kid sometimes I wouldn’t want to go to Church, but I think it was for reasons inside the Church, some of the controlling people. Alandrax said she felt completely comfortable thinking about God within her as she stood naked painting at her canvas. She had her crystalline cross in the east window of her one room home above her bed where she she felt the Holy Spirit enter her. I guess this story reminds me of another post I wrote sometime ago labeled, “the Church can be anywhere,” because God is within everyone; so they take the Church with them.
