SKY FLOWED INTO THE RIVER

SKY FLOWED INTO THE RIVER ————

JIM PECHA, B.ARCH., CHRISTIAN ARTIST,
MINISTER OF CREATIVITY, copyright 2014 ———-

The new generations of women artists is an interweaving of cultures in New Mexico. Alandrax was a mixture of the Anglo, Spanish and Pueblo Indian. Her artwork revealed these combinations of design and compositions, plus her own rebellions, included the spiritual and sexual in her every day life. The conservative yielded to the outrageous in lifestyles. This new generation, while influenced by the past, searched for persnal relationships with God, outside the Church, within themselves. She had the crosses and statues of saints, prayer table and Bibles, but worked within her studio, when temperature permitted, naked. She believed in sharing herself and sacricing herself for others in need, spiritually, emotionally and physically. She worked from the landscape and male and female nude models, and did the same for other artists. Her paintings showed an openness and a flowing of the Sky into the river, as she flowed freely herself.
