BECOMING ART

BECOMING ART ——-

JIM PECHA, B.ARCH. CHRISTIAN ARTIST
MINISTER OF CREATIVITY, copywrite 2014 ————-

When you become really old out here in New Mexico and your covered with wrinkles, you become art. The first postcards I saw out here, as a kid, were of Navajo old women and men in colorful clothes, red shirts with turquoise and silver jewelry, headbands and sitting next to a hogan or wagon. They weren’t thought of as people but as art. When you are no longer functional, you can still be art for awhile, as the old mining town homes, just change the lighting and a new drama and life is created. Of course when you get really old, they tear you down. These houses are gone now.
