CAVE PAINTER

CAVE PAINTER ———-

JIM PECHA, B.ARCH. CHRISTIAN ARTIST
MINISTER OF CREATIVITY, copywrite 2015 ————

In the land of old mines, eroded sandstone and limestone caves, kachinas, Penitentes, stories of atrocities from the ancient pueblos to the alien visitations to the Conquistadors, the cave paintings revealed faces, animals and strange rituals, but intertwined through it all is the spiritual belief in God. The people of the pueblos walk quietly and humbly, but within their hearts, minds and souls are images which began in childhood, mysteries and histories passed down from one generation to another. What would you paint or express with all this content within you? A cave painting is a way to reveal the effects of living in New Mexico, from the dark depths to the surface colors of all the contempory celebrations rooted in the past.
