MINISTER OF CREATIVITY, copywrite 2015 ————

As artist’s, we watch as the buildings and scenery change over the years. Mary lived in CHIMAYO, New Mexico and painted the Santuaryio many times. We both saw the Church in the 1950s onward. We both felt the sacredness of the place in the early years, but now it was more of a tourist trap with trinkets sold of all types. What was a natural setting of cottonwood trees and shrubs is now a well organized paved parking lot. Mary still paints the Church, but tries to remember the natural environment within her memories. Even tourists buy the old views more than the contempory. Mary still worships in the Church, but in the early morning when shadows block out the new additions. Within the Church she worships the God who is the same yesterday, today and the future.
