DESERT RANGE ——–

JIM PECHA, B.ARCH. CHRISTIAN ARTIST
MINISTER OF CREATIVITY, copywrite 2015 ————

“Don’t look at them, they’ll think we have a treat,” said Carmen, “then they will follow us.” I slightly peaked around Carmen anyway to see the beautiful horses. This was a ranch near Cerrillos, New Mexico. We were walking to see the little chapel her dad had built. There had been many range wars between owners in the past and the chapel was where most of them had taken place. There were old rusty wagons, horse harnesses and such strewn over the site. The Cisco Kid, a western from the fifties, was filmed in this area. We had to watch out for rattle snakes in the shade of bushes. Their striking distance was about six feet. On the way back Carmen fed the horses small apples from her big pockets.
