There are dirt roads everywhere around New MEXICO. If there isn’t a fence to block access, there are tire tracks right around the end of the fence. This particular dirt road led to a turn around, but before anyone turned around they probably had a love session or some other activity. It was a scenic view for us and place to get a very intense sun burn, if not careful. The river, dark green strip, is the Rio Puerco, which flows from Mt. Taylor to the Rio Grande. There are ancient pueblos ruins along the river, but most are buried to preserve them. You will find open spaces in NM, if you’re tired of closed in congestion of the cities. That’s the jeep Cherokee we wore out on mountain and mesa roads and once up the side of a VOLCANOE.
