WAITING FOR HORSES ———

A few ranchers along the Bosque, small forest along the Rio Grande, go out on the high mesas and round up the wild Mustangs. They tame them a little and then give them away, otherwise the large numbers cause some to starve to death. The corrals are down among the cool shade of the cottonwood trees. These two pictures show the trails they come along. We waited until we heard a thundering sound of horses and Cowboys yelling trying to keep them together. We would be in the way; so moved up the hill. First billows of dust came out of the trees, which clouded the horses and Cowboys. It was a wild scene. Some mustangs started up the hill towards us, we ran with our cameras.
