SHE WORE SUNDAY ————-

JIM PECHA, B.ARCH., MINISTER OF CREATIVITY
copyright 2015, CHRISTIAN ARTIST —————-

On Sunday she wore a sweat shirt to Church that had “Sunday” written across the chest area. She was an artist who lived across the plaza from the Church and she not only painted pictures of it at different times of day and seasons, but it became part of everything she did. On warm summer nights, at midnight, she would walk naked across the plaza to the Church, as those interested watched from their windows, and enter the carved wooden doors and pray at the altar. She then would return to her Adobe home and have sex with her boyfriend as she looked out her window at the Church bathed in the blue moonlight. She was searching for a way to relate to the Church, so spiritual and sexual. She lived in this time when the Church and Christianity seemed unrelated to everyday life. Her friends were only amused at her confusion and interest in the Church. She seemed to float within her visual and imaginary images of the Church. What was real?
