copyright 2015, CHRISTIAN ARTIST —————–
Looking at the SANDIA Mountains from the city of Albuquerque, they appear flat, purplish and uninteresting. I went about fifty years before I ventured into the foothills in a serious manner, thinking I would be bored. In a similar fashion, most people look at the spiritual, thinking there is nothing there of interest. Taking those first hikes from trail head to crest of the mountain changed all my previous perceptions. The further you hike upwards into the mountain, the more fascinating it becomes. The same with the spiritual, but it requires, as with physical hiking, decisions of commitment and equipment. People get lost and killed in the mountain when they come unprepared. The same with traveling within the spiritual realm without a map, guide and preparation.
