BLUE WINDOW ——————-

JIM PECHA, B.ARCH., MINISTER OF CREATIVITY

Mary looked out her blue framed window of the adobe home, hoping to see someone to take her away. Her life was a “tightly knitted fabric” by culture and tradition, escape seemed impossible. One day after thinking about how restrained she was by the rules of her village society, it dawned on her to knit pictures of how she felt and exhibit them in arts and crafts shows, which she had seen in larger cities. She begged her family and friends for the money to buy the tools she would need to sew and knit and reluctantly they helped her. She placed her photograph in the center, similar to a signature. She found a way “out” of her sense of limitation by simply accepting how she felt and working with it.
